my story
My father gave me my first SLR on my 18th birthday. He also guided me to attend the Rhode Island School of Design, since he believed you should make a living doing your greatest passion, and then you will never have to work at a job. He is a very wise man.
Henry Horenstein was my first photography instructor at RISD. As a documentary photographer, our assignments were to photograph everyday life. With a camera in hand, nature, pets, travel, mostly outdoor activities, were studied with purpose and provided an escape. From tree bark or the way sunlight dances off a wet dog, I shoot what am fascinated with at the moment.
I take advantage of photography opportunities, and enhance design projects with a personal touch. With the skill and ability to retouch an image, bringing two worlds together or taking years away can make an impossible photograph happen.
